Block Slide

Block Slide is a modern take on the timeless sliding-block puzzle. The board is jammed with rectangular pieces of different sizes, and your goal is to slide the target block to the exit. The catch: every other block is in your way, and they can only move along their long axis. The early levels feel like warming up; by puzzle 20 you'll need to map out 10-move sequences in your head.

Drag any block in the direction of its long axis to slide it. Horizontal pieces only move left and right; vertical pieces only move up and down. There's no rotating, no jumping — pure sliding. The target block is highlighted and needs to reach the marked exit on the edge of the board. Take your time; there's no move counter penalty.

Work backward from the exit. Identify which blocks need to leave the target's path, then figure out where they can go. Corner pieces are usually the hardest to displace, so plan their move first. Don't lock yourself in — before making a move, check that you're not creating a new gridlock. If a level feels impossible, restart and try moving the smallest blocks first.

Block Slide hits the sweet spot between accessibility and depth. Anyone can grasp the rules in 10 seconds, but mastering 100-move puzzles takes real spatial reasoning. The clean visual design keeps focus on the puzzle itself, and the difficulty curve respects your time — each new mechanic is introduced gradually with a few easy levels before the tough ones.
